(NOTE FROM RALPH TERRY: I assume that Mary H. Howell, daughter of James Mathew Howell is the same person as Mary Howell, who married James Dunn. They were born about the same time and were cousins, coming from Georgia to Comanche County, Texas.)
"I just ran across your homepage with many names and places that I have been looking at recently. I have a DUNN/HOWELL family, but not much information on them. I know they came from Alabama, and lived in Comanche County, Texas in 1880. Have you come across a Mary HOWELL born about 1845 in Alabama, parents born in Georgia, who married James DUNN, born about 1838 Alabama, parents born in Alabama? The child of theirs that is in my line is Leona Patience DUNN, born about 1778 in Texas. It looks to me that they belong "somewhere" in the families you listed. I just can't seem to find them before 1880. I'm thinking that my James Dunn belongs to the Mathew, or Silas Dunn family, and Mary Howell to James Mathew Howell and Patience Gentry."
