"Walter C. Greer was born in Franklin County, Virginia in 1834; married in Monroe County, Missouri, Martha E. Craig 12 May 1859." (Pedigree chart prepared by Richard L. Greer, 1985.) (NOTE FROM RALPH TERRY: Another source says Walter C. Greer and Martha E. Craig were married at Macon City, which is in Macon County, Missouri. Possibly they got the license in Monroe County, but married at Macon City (now called Macon).)
