Mrs. Debbie Bowling Black, age 61, of Valley passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
Mrs. Black was born in LaFayette, Alabama on April 5, 1954.
She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Black was an avid Alabama Football fan. In the 1980's, she worked as a paramedic in Valley and also worked as the manager of the Buckskin Lounge. She was a very loyal and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed reading and cooking.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 11:00A.M. EST at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley with interment in Johnson Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Rusty Letson officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00P.M. EST to 8:00P.M. EST.
She is survived by her husband, Kenny Black, Valley; children, Tracy (Denise) Gilham, Woodland, Melinda (Phil) Wood, Valley, Kennon (Kelly) Black, Smith Station; brother, Johnny Bowling, Michigan; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; 2 nieces; 1 nephew.
Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley is directing.
