VALLEY -- Mr. Windol Bowling, 75, of Valley died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002 at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. at Abanda Baptist Church with the Rev. John Cole officiating. Burial will follow in the Abanda Cemetery.
Mr. Bowling is survived by his daughter, Debbie Black of Valley; his son, John Bowling of Ashland, Ala.; two sisters, Rudene Clanton of Opelika, Ala., and Frances Wilbanks of Dadeville, Ala.; his brother, Edward Bowling of Abanda; four grandchildren, John L. Bowling, Sam Bowling, Brittany Bowling and Tracy Gilham; two step-grandchildren, Kennon Black and Melinda Wood; and six step-great-grandchildren.
Born Sept. 26, 1926 in Abanda, Mr. Bowling was self-employed in the trucking and logging business. He was a Army veteran of World War II and Korea.
The family will receive friends Monday, Feb. 25 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Jeff Jones Funeral Home in LaFayette.
