Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia (Jean) Karnes, 53, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Bailey Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. T. D. Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Elkhart.
Mrs. Karnes died Wednesday in Anderson County Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 10, 1927 in Arkansas, a daughter of the late George and Janie Burris McCullar. She had resided in Palestine for the past six years and was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include one son, Donnie Karnes of Palestine; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Hardin, Jr. of Tennessee Colony; two brothers, Lavell Moss of Pasadena and Louis Bittle of Rockdale; two sisters, Mrs. Violet Karnes of Brazoria and Mrs. Jimmie Dale Trezise of Palestine.
