"Fred H. Packer, 56, of 10738 S. Padre Island Dr., died today in a local nursing home. Born and reared in Corpus Christi, he was a retired carpenter. Graveside services will be tomorrow in Seaside Memorial Park with the Rev. Bruce L. Medford, pastor of South Bluff Methodist Church, officiating. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy and a brother, Edward H. Packer of Corpus Christi. Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Service is in charge of funeral arrangements."
