Kenneth Ray Hock passed away on July 02, 2018 following a long illness with family and friends at his bedside. Kenneth was born in Bakersfield on May 28, 1954 to Leroy and Helen Hock. A lifelong resident of Bakersfield, he was a graduate of North High School, Bakersfield College and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Upon returning to civilian life he began his career with the Bureau of Land Management, where he remained until his death.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents. He leaves behind his brothers Jack Hock (Beverly), Ventura, CA, Larry Hock (Pat), Aubrey, Texas, and his sister Sharon Boen (Jim), Bakersfield, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his very special co-workers and friends (especially Joaquin) at the Bureau of Land Management, all part of his extended family.
Visitation for Kenneth will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Basham Funeral Home, 3312 Niles Street, Bakersfield, CA from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Grave side services will be held at the Bakersfield National Cemetery on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 10:45 am.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Memorial Hospital for taking such good care of Kenneth during this very difficult time. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to a favorite charity in Kenneth's name.
