"Graveside services for Nathan Wayne Hawley, Sr., 46, of Zavalla, will be held Wednesday, December 24, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. in the Shofner Cemetery with Reverend Grady Hopkins officiating. Mr. Hawley was born August 6, 1962, in Knox City, Texas, to Rosalee (Hooks) and the late J.V. Hawley. He died Friday, December 19, 2008, in a hospital in LaPlace, Louisiana. Mr. Hawley had worked for J.V. Industrial Company for the past two years. When he wasn't working, he loved to fish. Mr. Hawley was a member of the Church of Christ, and had lived in Zavalla for more than 20 years. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Hawley of Zavalla; mother, Rosalee Blake of Huntington; sons, Dustin Hawley of Zavalla, Kyle Hawley of Hudson, and Nathan Hawley, Jr., of Zavalla; daughter, Tasha Nichols of Zavalla; stepchildren, Jeremy Myers of Zavalla, Michael Myers of Huntington, and Keesha M. Myers of Dry Creek, Louisiana; sister, Debra Forrest of Huntington; brothers, Michael Hawley of Huntington and Keith Hawley of Zavalla; ten grandchildren; grandmother, Louise Williams of Zavalla; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Hollis Marshall, Mike Gee, Jason Hooks, Jack Hooks, Henry Williams, George Cryer and Randy Stanford. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon Wednesday morning at the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home in Lufkin. Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home, Lufkin, directors."
