"13 Sept. 1850, Wm. Harris heirs vs Wm. Harris heirs your orator. John H. Harris, Samuel Hall and Catherine Hall his wife late Catherine Harris, Jeremiah V. Harris, Overton Harris, James Berryman and his wife Adocia Berryman late Adocia Harris, Isaac Chrisman and his wife Sophia Chrisman, Thomas Harris, Sally Harris, James Thurman and his wife Mary Thurman. That their father William Harris departed this life intestate in Estill Co. leaving your orators, and Marilda Harris, Clanigan Howard and his wife Leaner Howard, William Carr and his wife Perlina Carr, children and heirs at law of said decedent the said Clanigan Howard and his wife Leaner Howard is both dead leaving children and heirs towit: William Howard, Samuel Howard, George Howard, Daniel Howard and Sophia Howard, said Perlina Carr is dead leaving the following, her ownly children and heirs towit, Simpson Carr, Louisa Carr, John Carr, David Carr, and William Carr. They charge the defendants (children Carr and Howards) are infants under 21 and have no statutary guardians. At William Harris' death he was in the possession of 80 acres of land on the Kentucky River and recorded in Clark Co. (Inside) J. H. Harris and others VS Marilda Harris, Wm. Howard, Samuel Howard, George Howard, Daniel Howard, Sophia Larrison, George Larrison. (Sophia Howard intermarried with George Larrison), the plantiff further charges the 80 acres are so poor that it would not benefit anyone. Wants it to be sold.
