Mary Hoover

"Mary Hoover Williamson, died before 1850, is buried at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Duffee, Newton County, Mississippi, on hwy 492 out of Union, Mississippi, going east just before one gets to Duffee, take a right on to Liberty Road. It deadends at cemetery. Mary had sister Jerushia Hoover, who married Elijah Jeffcoat. In December 1850 a law suit was entered into between the heirs of Jerushia Hoover Jeffcoat and Mary Hoover Williamson, to dispose of 800 acres of land deeded to them jointly in 1801 by there father John Hoover, from this suit we know Mary Hoover, spouse of Charles Williamson, died before December 1850, and after 1840, as she is not listed on 1850 census report. Through family history it is said that Mary Hoover Williamson, took fever and died a few months before her husband Charles." (Bobby Crocker.)
