Martin Gentry son of Nicholas Gentry II, sold 150 acres of land to Bezal el Brown situated in Albermarle County, Virginia on 10-8-1789 and probably went to Kentucky at this time.

Gentry, sons Bartlett, Joshiah, John, Martin, daughter Patsy Maupin, Susanna Jones, Nancy Liscomb and granddaughters Patsy Dinwiddle, Susanna Gentry, Pollie CorNealson, Bettie Crews, and Salley Dulany.
