Walter Kinser

(September 21, 1746 - June 1, 1828)

"Walter Kinser signed a petition to Wythe County, Virginia officials on October 4, 1792 to build an academy to educate their children. He moved to Wythe County about 1770 with his father, Jacob Kinser, Jr. Between September 1806 and May 15, 1807 Walter and family moved to Russell County, Virginia where he bought 140 acres of land. It is possible that his two eldest sons, Peter and Frederick, were married and remained in Wythe County." (Clifford R. Canfield.)

Walter Kinser was a tax payer in Montgomery County, VA from 1782-87 along with his brother, Jacob. Walter, Jacob, George and John Peter were all deacons in the Lutheran churches of Wythe County, Virginia. They all later moved to Tennessee." (Doris Kinser.)

Walter Kinxer was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wythe County, Virginia. The baptismal record of his son, Joseph are there.
