In the 1880 Grayson County census, Mahala Blevins is in the household of her uncle Thomas and aunt Elizabeth Greer, found on the same page as John F. and Elizabeth Blevins. On her marriage license it gives her parents as J. F.(Jonathan went by J. F.) and Ciss (Sis was Elizabeth's nickname) Blevins.

Howard Wilson was a travelling salesman, who didn't know he had ason until his son was grown. He and Mahala Ann Blevins were not married.
