"Mary Louise (Griffith) Keeney, age 81, died August 3, 2004 in a Victoria, Texas hospital. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 7, 2004 at Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. She was born August 18, 1922 in Coleman County, Texas, a daughter of Jack and Pearl Griffith. She grew up in Coleman County and attended school at Buffalo. On July 8, 1939 she married J. D. Keeney in Coleman County. Following her marriage, Louise lived in the Fort Worth area for about 45 years, moving to Port O'Connor last year. Survivors include three daughters, Linda Butler and husband James of Port O'Connor, Texas, Betty Duke and husband James of Azle, Texas and Brenda McMurtrey of Ft. Worth, Texas; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Family visitation will be held on Friday, August 6, 2004, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas."
