"Mary Joan Lobstein of Coleman died Tuesday July 8, 2008 at Holiday Hill Nursing Home. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 11 in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. Family visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mary Joan Smith Lobstein was born January 7, 1932 in Santa Anna, a daughter of Simon and Audrey Graham Smith. She grew up in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School in 1948. On August 29, 1949 she married Eugene "Bub" Lobstein in Coleman and he preceded her in death on March 22, 1995. She lived in Midland and Abilene for many years and returned to Coleman 5 1/2 years ago. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Survivors include one daughter, Becky Robbins of Abilene; two sons, Randy Lobstein and wife Casey of Abilene and Ricky Lobstein and wife Lisa of Las Vegas, Nevada; seven grandchildren, Leassa Williams, Shelly Pool, Brandy and Bucky Lobstein, Jerrod, Summer and Katie Lobstein; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donnie Smith of Coleman and Jackie Smith of Santa Anna; two sisters, Dorothy Musick of Abilene and Ruth Lobstein of Coleman. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Big Country, 4601 Hartford, Abilene, Texas 79605."
