"Eugene (Bub) Lobstein, age 64 of Abilene, died Wednesday evening, March 22, 1995 at his residence. Services for Mr. Lobstein were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Charles Sheffield officiating. Burial was in the Coleman Cemetery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. Born December 22, 1930 in Coleman County, he was the son of the late W. F. and Leatrice Tipton Lobstein. A graduate of Bangs High School, he married Joan Smith on August 29, 1949 in Coleman. Mr. Lobestein was retired from the Texas Railroad Commission, where he was an Engineering Specialist II. He was a Baptist.
"Survivors include his wife, Joan Lobstein of Abilene; one daughter, Rebecca Ann Robbins of Abilene; two sons, Randall Eugene Lobstein of Abilene and Ricky Lynn Lobstein of Clyde; one brother, Rube Lobstein of Coleman; six grandchildren, Leassa and Shelley Mason of Abilene, Brandy and Bucky Lobstein of Abilene, and Jerrod and Summer Lobstein of Lueders; as well as several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Rex Priddy, Don Priddy, Larry Musick, Rodney Musick, Carl Smith, Shane Smith, Kip Smith, Coy Smith, Mike Lobstein, and Bob Keeney."
