Individual Details
Mary Ann "Mollie" Nicholls
(February 26, 1857 - July 2, 1936)
The 1900 Federal Census of Chickasaw Nation Oklahoma, Township 6 - S - R - 1 - W lists Martha Greenway as a mother-in-law to the head of house, in the home of William M. Dunn and wife, Mary.
The 1910 Federal Census of Garvin County, Brady Township, Oklahoma lists Mollie as the mother of 11 children with 9 living. Being able to identify the 9 living leaves 2 unidentified children that may have died at birth or at least young. The gaps between the known children suggest one may have been born between 1879 and 1883 and/or between 1883 and 1887.
"Mary Nicholls went by the nickname "Mollie" and her death certificate gives her as Mollie. Her death certificate (registry # 13) states she died as a result of hemaplegia and hypertension on 2 July 1936 at Oswalt, Oklahoma aged 77. Born 26 February 1859 in Arkansas, maiden name Mollie Nichols, the wife of W. M. Dunn with informant being their daughter, Minnie (Dunn) Alexander.
