"Thomas Calvin Greear, age 76, 1465 Greenbrier Ave., S.E. (Roanoke, Virginia), passed away Thursday evening in a local hospital. Mr. Greear was a retired employee of Double Envelope Corporation and also a member of Waverly Place Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mr. Sallye Oyler Greear, one brother, Eugene M. Greear, Jr., Roanoke, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, 11:30 a.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel by the Rev. Steve Spangler with interment in Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel." (obituary)

When he retired he had been with Double Envelope for 15 years. He died from lung cancer. Thomas Calvin and Sallye Mae Greear had no children. Sallye Mae Greear is retired from Smartwear-Irving Saks."
