Greer in the 1950's to 1970's, as sent to me by Cindy Barbee, a granddaughter, email: scotlass1959@yahoo.com, March 2002. Sources indicated by Lillian Greer is the Greer Cemetery ... I assume this to be the Greenberry Greer Cemetery.)
" I recently found your rootsweb database on Della Hutton. Della, her given name was Eudora Della, was not a Hutton by birth: she was a Jones. Her parents were Mary Catherine Greer and Ward Walter Jones. The dates of birth and death you have are correct. The W. H. Hutton you have listed as Della's father was her husband. The Margaret "Maggie" Greer you have listed as her mother was W. H. Hutton's first wife. The cemetery where they are all buried is now called the Walter Talley Greer Cemetery. It was thus named, in June, 2002, by ladies mapping the cemetery for Davidson County Cemetery Survey project, to distinguish it from many other Greer Cemeteries in the area.
