John Fendall Carr

(November 30, 1764 - February 9, 1838)

John Fendall Carr, was in the Revolutionary War (pension #S-3118). In his will he mentions money that was willed to his children by their uncle Isaac Daulton. Mr. Ernest Priddy stated in an article he submitted on Isaac Dalton in Woodward's THE HERITAGE OF STOKES COUNTY, NC, that Isaac died of ptomaine poisoning from eating spoiled deer meat. Isaac was a lawyer. He represented Stokes County, NC, in the legislature for two sessions. He came to that county in 1785 at about the same time as his father David Dalton, Sr., and bought land on Old Field Creek close to the courthouse in Germanton. Isaac's wife was Susannah Garth. They were married in 1787.
