"Constance (Magness) Cantrell united with the Predestinarian Baptist Church at Old Bildad in 1850. She was a faithful and consistent member until her death, a period of fifty four years. One of the older members of the Cantrell family in Tennessee is our authority for saying that: 'All older Cantrells who went from the Carolinas to Tennessee were Baptists.' There were several kinds of Baptists at that time. They were designated as 'Old Baptist,' 'Two Seed Baptist,' and later as 'Predestinarian Baptists.'
