Notes
Death
She married Frederick Joseph Moss in St Helena, the only daughter of Captain George Carew/Carron.They had eight children.
In 1857, proposing to move to Natal, her husband visited that place, but found it much depressed through ravages of locusts and cattle sickness. While at Capetown some emigrant vessels bound to New Zealand put in for repairs, and her husband decided to follow them. The family left St Helena for London and arrived at Lyttleton in 1859 in the old wooden ship Zealandia, mastered under Captain Foster.
In 1862 the family removed to Dunedin. In 1868, when the cotton rush to Fiji took place. they left Dunedin in the schooner Lovet Peacock, and settled on the Rowa River at Bau Lavu.
The family settled in Auckland in about 1869.
Died at Rotorua where she accompanied her eldest daughter, a month before her death, but getting a chill, heart trouble supervened, ending in her death, aged 80 years.
She was interred March 23.
