J.J. WILSON, 87, DIES AT LAURENS
Funeral to be Held Today at Abner Creek Church Near Woodruff
Woodruff, March 23- J.J. Wilson, 87, died at 1:40 p.m. today at the home of his son,Ed Wilson, 451 Fleming street, Laurens. The funeral will be conducted Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at the Abner Creek Baptist church, near Woodruff.
The Rev. P. F. McChesney, the Rev. J. L. Bobo and the Rev. C. L. Boyter will officiate at the funeral. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Besides the son at whose home he died, Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Malissa Greer Wilson; 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and two great,great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers at the funeral will be Leroy Wilson, Lee Wilson, Alvin Gradon, Horace Johnson, Will Cox and Leon Davis.
Elders and deacons of the Woodruff Presbyterian church will serve as honorary pallbearers. They are: J. B. Kilgore, S. M. Kilgore, J. G. Gaston, W. A. Mason, Dr. O. H. McCord, W. T. Stewart, W. S. Nesbitt, S. H. Stallworth, George Irby, T. S. Kilgore, R. W. Goodwin, J. T. Floyd, J.L. Reeves and L. S. Bearden.
