Obituary: Walter V. [sic W.] Ivory Dies at Hillrose
It is with a feeling of the deepest regret that we announce the death of W. W. Ivory, which occurred at his home Thursday afternoon, January 14, at 3:30 o'clock.
While it was known that his health dad been failing for the past several months, little was thought of the seriousness of his condition until his last illness, which resulted fatally in just a few days, regardless of the best medical attention that was given.
Walter W. Ivory was born in Tabor, Iowa, December 3, 1863, and was married in Ellwood, Neb., October 27, 1892 to Miss Elizabeth Wagner, who with one son, Ray, are left to mourn his demise.
In 1903 he joined the M. E. church and exemplified his life by the teachings of the Golden Rule, and unfailingly evidenced a practical piety, that will be remembered by those with whom he came in contact. Always pleasant and agreeable he was widely known to a large coterie of friends.
The services were conducted by the Rev. Harrington at the M. E. church Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Among those who attended from out of town were Mr. and Mrs, Smith of Haigler, Neb., Mrs. Roupke of Oxford, Neb., Helen Hettie and Bertha Herd of Ellwood, Neb., Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Parker and Mrs. A. Baird of Fort Morgan and Freeman Fiske of Oxford.
