Thomas Alexander "Eck" Davis
(25 Jan 1840 - 17 Jan 1919)
Email from Darrell Ryan:
...after the war of northern aggression, several of T. A.'s brothers moved from Daviston-Alexander City area of Tallapoosa County, AL to MS and TX. T. A. (called Eck by family, my gg grandfather) settled in Bethesda, TN with his wife and her daughters. His wife was a widow from the war. Their son Early and his wife Lillie (my g grand parents) are buried a couple of miles from my house at Cool Springs Baptist Church, where Milton Lillard preached. We have a Lillard and Davis reunion every year. Lillard's in nearby Bethesda, Davis' in Franklin, TN.
