He moved to New Haven Ohio, then to Greenfield, then Londonville where he engaged in mercantile pursuits. He opened a hotel. He later moved to Kalida, Putnam Co, Ohio. Joseph died December 19, 1847. The author does not mention Joseph in military service. The obituary uses the title Col. Joseph White. Seeking source documents of military service.
