Annie Bell Floyd Coker, age 94, died Thursday September 1, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital- Union County in New Albany. She was born on September 17, 1916 in Union County to the late James (Jim) Floyd and Bitha Ann Medlin Floyd. She was a homemaker, and a long time member of Ellistown Baptist Church where she enjoyed the Senior Citizens Club. She loved flowers, quilting, and was an avid reader. She loved her family and her grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Ellistown Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Powell and Bro. Keith Benefield officiating. Burial will be in the Ellistown Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters Barbara Coffey (Sammy) of Etta, and Sandra Wood (Frank) of Tupelo, two sons Tommy Coker (Brenda) and David Coker (Joan) all of Ellistown, two brothers Travis Floyd (Martha) of New Albany and Rev. Billy Floyd (Clara) of West Virginia, ten grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, and a special friend Sherry Moore of Ellistown. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hubert A. Coker, four sisters Nancy Sanford, Willie Pearl Chism, Vera May Dye, and an infant sister, one brother Clifton Floyd, and one grandchild Christopher Coker. Pallbearers will be Sammy Coker, Larry Coker, Billy Coker, Neil Roberts, Robert Wiggington, and Mike Moore. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
