Richard L. Gwinn, 87, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at his home. He was born December 3, 1927, in Marshall, Mo., to the late Merritt Sams and Ara Ethel (White) Gwinn.
He received a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri, where he played basketball and was a member of the "M" Men Alumni Association.
Richard was a Civil Engineer and served as Construction Manager on projects throughout the country.
He was a member of Eastside Christian Church and the AF & AM Grande Lodge of Missouri
in Columbia, Mo.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Gwinn; and daughter, Nancy Gwinn.
He is survived by his sons, Malcolm (Sherry) and Richard M. Gwinn; and grandchildren, Cameron and Courtney Gwinn.
Graveside services will be held in Highland Cemetery in Lawton, Oklahoma. Memorial contributions may be made to Eastside Christian Church.
