Patricia Ann (Denney) Reese, age 83, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024. She was born on March 22, 1941, in County Line, Oklahoma, to William Raymond and Dorothy Lee (Pierce) Denney.
A 1959 graduate of Sulphur High School, Patricia was known for her deep love of family, her caring and generous heart, and her willingness to forgive. Everything she did was motivated by her desire to help her family in any way possible. She cherished bringing her loved ones together, often entertaining them with games like Wahoo on a board lovingly made by her daddy, "Papaw".
Patricia had a zest for life and a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed playing paper bingo and jokingly referred to her contributions as donations to "The Chickasaw Pension Plan." A devoted sports fan, Patricia cheered for the OKC Thunder, the Oklahoma Sooners, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, especially during Baker Mayfield's tenure. She also loved watching tennis and Olympic events and spent countless hours singing and traveling across the country to perform in her younger years-a passion that brought her immense joy.
Patricia was a dedicated bookkeeper, working at Arbuckle Memorial Hospital in Sulphur from the late 1970s until 1990. Her adventurous spirit then led her to Andros Island in the Bahamas, where she worked on the Navy base in the BX. In 1995, she moved to Brandon, Florida, to continue her bookkeeping career with an accounting service. Later, she returned to Oklahoma to be with her parents in Woodward until their passing. She eventually settled back in Sulphur to be close to her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children, Theron Kinney, Marlon Kinney and wife Briana, and Tracy Favorite and husband Verlyn; her bonus son, Chuck Davis and wife Julie; five grandchildren, Brandon Day and wife Christina, Marli Williams and husband Caleb, Haden Kinney, Mason Kinney, and BrookeLynn Gaddy; two siblings, Marion (Denney) Hopkins and husband Denny, and Roger Denney; and her nieces and nephew, Shannon Dills and husband Nathan, Wendy Evans and husband Chris, Amanda Owen and husband Jeff, Ginger Denney, and Robert Denney. Patricia also leaves behind numerous great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and countless friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Crossway Baptist Church in Sulphur, with Pastor Bobby Waitman officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur.
Patricia's love, humor, and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
