Grover Charles Pierce

Memorial service was held in the Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Randy Scraper, Charles Spence, Paul Sullivan and Jay Thompkins officiating.
Parents are Rev. and Mrs. Edcar Pierce. They moved to Duncan when Mr. Pierce was age 12. Mr. Pierce graduated from Duncan High School.
In April 1936, he married Hetty Jenyle Stone and from this union a daughter, Dannie, was born in 1946.
Mr. Pierce worked for Gulf Oil. During World War II he was part of a government ballistics lab in Aberdeen Proving Grounds Maryland.
Mr. Pierce started the Pierce Propane Gas Company in Duncan.
He loved to fly fish.
Honorary bearers were Wes Hamilton, John Bond, Granville Burkleo, Charles Spence, Dr. Matthew Ivory and Stan McCoy.
