James David Tooley, 88, of 3829 Jordan Road, widower of Thelma Irene Farmer Tooley, died January 13, 2011 at Smith Phayer Hospice House. A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Vanner Tooley, Sr. and Eula Greer Tooley, he was a retired employee of J.P. Stevens and attended Mount Lebanon Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Aaron and Pam Tooley, Anthony Tooley, and Jimmy Ray and Lisa Tooley all of Greer and three grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew, and Austin. Mr. Tooley was predeceased by two brothers, Junior and Jack Tooley. A special thanks to Garold and Evangeline Farmer for their dedicated care. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Mark Smith. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Darryl Farmer, Gene Tapp, Bobby Thornton, Mickey Bull, James Prentice, and Roger Fowler. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary. The family is at the home of his son, Jimmy Ray Tooley, 3829 Jug Factory Road, Greer, SC 29651. Memorials may be made to Mount Lebanon Baptist Church Lottie Moon Offering, 572 Mt.
