Thelma Irene Farmer Tooley, 63, of 3829 Jordan Road, died Aug. 11, 2003, at Magnolia Place of Greenville.

A native of Greenville County, daughter of Mary Ruth Henson Farmer, of Greer, and the late Jesse Runion Farmer, she was a retired employee of Skyland Elementary School and was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, James David Tooley, of the home; three sons, Aaron, Jimmy Ray and Anthony Tooley, all of Greer; four brothers, Dean, Jack, Garold and Charles Farmer, all of Greer; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Tooley was predeceased by a brother, Bennie Farmer. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Mark Smith. Burial will follow at Wood Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mickey Bull, James Prentice, Donald, Michael and Daryl Farmer and Phillip Smith. Honorary escort will be the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. today at The Wood Mortuary. The family is at the home of a son: Jimmy Ray Tooley, 3829 Jug Factory Road, Greer. Memorials may be made to Mount Lebanon Baptist Church Renovation Fund, 572 Mount Lebanon Church Road, Greer, SC 29651.
