Betty Ann "Arcelle" Hester
Funeral services for Betty Ann "Arcelle" Hester, 71, of Zavalla will be held Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Zavalla with Brother Jackson Colwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Zavalla Cemetery.
Mrs. Hester was born February 23, 1937 in Lufkin, Texas to Solona Elizabeth (Hough) and Murray McBroom, and died Monday, June 30, 2008 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Hester was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. She was a homemaker and attended the Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Lee Hester; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy Earl and Patty Evans, Wayne and Jackie Evans, Timmy and Tammy Francis, Jimmy and Debbie Francis and Randy Keith Hester; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Kay and Thurman Hester and Anissa and Mitchell Parrott; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elmer Jewell and Joe Pittman and Reva and Bobby Weaver; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Solona and Murray McBroom; and son, Robert "Peanut" Francis.
The family extends special thanks to Mrs. Hester's nurse, Ken Smith.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church.
