Duane D. Ellis Walton, 62, of Phoenix died in his sleep early Feb. 2, 2011. He was born Jan. 8, 1949, in Phoenix and has lived in Phoenix, Snowflake and Payson.
He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Duane was a very talented Ferrier and was a horse trainer. His hobbies included being a "Rock Hound," and hunting and caring for horses. Duane was married three times and had a son from each marriage.
He is survived by his sons: Duane Ping, Duane Walton, and Clayton Locker-Walton, ex-wives: Sue Walton and Kay Locker Walton; brothers Donald Gene Walton, Travis Clifton Walton, Warner Holden Walton and; sister Alison Neff.
Duane was preceded in death by his father and mother Vernon Ellis Walton and Mary Luceil Holden. He was also preceded in death by his sister DiAnne Dooley and ex-wife, Saima Ping Walton.
Graveside services were held Monday, Feb. 21, at the Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery in Taylor.
