Gordon Franklin Sauls, age 73, of Sheffield, passed away September 14, 2016. Visitation will be Saturday, September 17, from noon until 2:00 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Mr. Sauls was retired from Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. He loved golf, fishing, traveling with his brother, Harold, and dancing. He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and Alabama football. Mr. Sauls was preceded in death by his brothers, John David Sauls and Ronald Lee Sauls. He is survived by his children, Franklin Fontaine Sauls and April Marie Sauls; special friend, Charity Vinson; brother, Harold Eugene Sauls; sister, Cheryl Ann Ezekiel; Lois Marie Sauls, the mother of his children; grandchildren, Dylan Wayne Keeton, Tyler Andrew Keeton and Shelby Rose Sauls; and numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Dave Soldo, John Killen, III, Danny Williams, Tony Smallwood, Troy May and Lewis Hartzog. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Williams and Derek Reatherford.
