He was born May 7, 1915, to John Morgan & Martha LaVirt (Richardson) Hodges in Lovelady, TX. He married Allene Jamison on April 15, 1945, at Dayton, TX. He was a Methodist and was a Chief Signalman and WWII Navy veteran. He was past Master of the Edna Masonic Lodge where he received his 50 year pin. He was a member of Ednaýs school board and was awarded Edna's Eagle Scout Award in 1931.
Survivors include his wife, Allene Hodges of Stephenville, TX; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lloyd and Cathy Hodges of Stephenville, TX and Dr. Bill & Linda Hodges of Stephenville, TX; five grandchildren, Bob Hodges & wife, Rachel, Becky Mead & husband, David, Martha Cashon & husband, Jason, and Jeff and Jack Hodges; two great grandchildren, Grace Hodges and Kenna Cashon; two nephews, Carl G. Gerjes, and Allen Munz; and one cousin, Myrtle Schinler.
