Allene Hodges, 88, of Stephenville, a retired teacher, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at a Granbury hospital.
Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 4, 2010, at the Presbyterian Church of Edna, Texas, with Dr. Terry Bozarth officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna, Texas. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time Saturday, December 4, 2010, at the Presbyterian Church of Edna, Texas.
She was born on January 17, 1922, to the late William Thomas and Allene (Solomon) Jamison, Sr., in Dayton, TX. She married Gifford Hodges on April 15, 1945, in Dayton, TX. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2006.
Allene was a life long member of the Methodist church and a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her sons, Lloyd Hodges and wife, Cathy, and Dr. Bill Hodges and wife, Linda, both of Stephenville, TX; sister, Dot Tate of Houston, TX; brother, Bob Jamison of Dayton, TX; grandchildren, Bob Hodges & wife, Rachel, Becky Mead & husband, Dave, Martha Taylor & husband, Zack, Jeff Hodges and wife, Maria, and Jack Hodges; great grandchildren, Grace Hodges, Kenna Cashon, Hadley Hodges, and Landry Mead; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Clark, and a brother, William Thomas (Bill) Jamison Jr.
