TUSCALOOSA | Jimmie Nell Hewitt, age 82, of Tuscaloosa, died October 23, 2014, at Heritage Health Care and Rehab. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2014, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with Rev. George Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. D. (Jack) Hewitt and daughter, Patricia Ann Hewitt Wilson.
Survivors include her sons, James O. Hewitt (Charlotte) of Northport, Ala. and Dan Hewitt (Carolyn) of Brookwood, Ala.; three granddaughters; three grandsons; and three great-granddaughters.
Jimmie was a member of Cottondale Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers are Rev. George Jackson and staff of Heritage Health Care Rehab & Assisted Living.
