Virginia Odell "Virgie" Neal

Mrs. Virgie Odell Neal Davis, 91, succumbed on July 27 at approximately 5 am at the Floy Dyer Extended Care Unit. She was a retired housewife and the widow of the late John Morgan Davis.
Services were held at 2 pm Sunday July 29, at the Houston Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. H L Hathorn officiated, assisted by Rev. Crawford Ray. Interment was in the Concord Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis, a native of Chickasaw County, was born May 3, 1882, the daughter of Crawford Neal and Mrs. Molly Hague Neal. She was a member of the Concord Methodist Church.
She is survived by three sons, John Morgan Davis of Okolona, Crawford Davis, Bossier City, La., and Doxie Davis of Wilbur, Washington; four daughters, Mrs. R E Neal, Mrs. Jodie Gormely, and Mrs. Benton Foster, all of Houston, and Mrs. Molly Prince of Enumclaw, Washington. She is also survived by one brother, Floyd Neal of Marlin, Texas, 21 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
