LA MARQUE - George E. Sanford, 68 of La Marque, passed away Friday evening June 15, 2001, at his residence in La Marque. Mr.
Sanford was born September 4, 1932, in Calhoun. Louisiana, the son of Vollie and Liz Roan Sanford. He was a resident of La Marque for forty three years and formerly of Calhoun, Louisiana. George was a retired grocery man and air conditioning and heating repairman. He served in the National Guard for six years.
George is survived by his loving wife, Jean Sanford, of La Marque; four daughters, Sandy Krenek and her husband, Douglas, Tracy Minor and her husband, Robert, Shawny Andrade and her husband, Lorenzo, Raina Brinkley and her husband, David; foster daughter, Margaret Neugebaur; one son, George E. Sanford Jr.; four sisters, Laurice Templeton, Dolores Miller, Sheryl Lincecum and Linda Peters; six brothers, Arlis "Buck" Sanford, Vollie Sanford, Kenneth Sanford, Eugene Sanford, Jimmy Sanford, and Donnie Sanford; sixteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and very close friends, Ed and ReheKubiak.
Visitation will be Monday June 18,2001 after 5 p.m. at : the funeral home. Funeral services wuljbe at 6 p.m. in the Chapel of the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque, with the Rev. David Brinkley, officiating. Additional Funeral Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at the Beulah Methodist Church in Calhoun,
Louisiana, with the Rev. Troy Garrett and Butch Pilcher, officiating. Burial to follow at the Beulah Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be George Sanford Jr., Robert Minor Sr., Robert Minor Jr., Lorenzo Andrade, David Brinkley, Eddie Sanford, Ronnie Sanford and Arlis Sanford Jr.
