She was survived by husband Vollie, sons Vollie, Jr., Kenneth, Evan, Eugene, Edwin and A. of Calhoun, and daughters Mrs. E.T. Ware, Mrs. A.B. Worley, Mrs. Scott Templeton and Mrs. C.M. Miller of Shiroi, Japan; her mother Mrs. Julia Roan and sister Mrs. Laney Crocker of Calhoun also survived.
According to the transcript of her death certificate found on familysearch, Lizzie was born at Calhoun, LA to Sam C. Roan and Julia Dumas. She was the wife of Vollie Sanford and died at Choudrant, Ouachita Parish. Her brother William Elijah "Willie" Roan is also buried in Beulah.
