Romaine M. Blount, age 78 of Durand, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Memorial Healthcare Center in Owosso. Per her wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
Romaine was born June 17, 1935, the daughter of the late Donald and Marie (Perry) Benear. She attended Durand High School, graduating in 1953.
On June 27, 1953, Romaine married Frank Blount in Corunna and together raised 4 children.
Mrs. Blount enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and crafts.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Frank; 4 children: Michael D. (Beth) Blount of Durand, Debra K. (Jeremy) Vik of Vernon, Curtis E. (Teresa) Blount of Durand, Janine (E.J.) Anderson of Durand; 6 grandchildren: Mark, Jenni, Laura, Jared, Nicholas, Jessica; 4 great grandchildren: Ashton, Boston, Joshua, Kailey and brother, Richard Benear.
She was preceded in death by her parents and great grandson, Jackson.
