Mr. Sides passed away July 25, 2021 in Tyler. He was born October 8, 1952 in Tyler to Willard Hudson and Peggy Jo Chandler Sides.
Michael was a long-time member of Holly Springs United Methodist Church in Martins Mill. He loved art and was very talented at sketching, drawing and painting. Michael loved visiting people. He was very kind and compassionate and always wanted to help people. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and telling them stories.
Mr. Sides is preceded in death by his father, Willard Hudson Sides; two brothers: Marcus Chandler Sides and Maury Andrew Sides; and grandparents: Wesley and Cordie Mae Chandler and Willard and Laone Sides.
Michael is survived by his mother, Peggy Sides of Martins Mill; son, Shane Sides of Lufkin; daughter, Kasey Lehn of Florida; son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Jennifer Sides of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, Jessika and Neal Meeker of Tyler; daughter, Sarah-Jo Dean of Tyler; nine grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Merryl and Roy James of Ben Wheeler; and brother, Matthew Sides of Martins Mill.
