Stephen Mitchell Blakeney, 37, of Laurel died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011 at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lake Park Hills Cemetery. Rev. John Stockstill and Rev. Herschel Bragg will be officiating.
He was a member of Crosspoint Community Church and he was Operations Manager for Blakeney Communications. And he was a member of The Woodman of The World.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Houston Blakeney of Laurel; daughter, Oliva Hamill of Laurel; parents, Harold M. and Carolyn Buckelew Blakeney of Laurel; brother, Eric Blakeney of Robertsdale, Ala.; sister, Kali Blakeney of Laurel; maternal grandmother, Amorita Buckelew of Laurel.
Pallbearers will be Malcolm Houston, Dwayne Moss, J.B. Moss, Marcus Creel, Frank "Chops" Meyers and Randy Johnson.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, which is in charge of services.
