Thomas Carroll Holifield, 78 of Laurel, MS, died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel , MS. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Indian Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurel, Ms. Rev. Mike West will officiate. Burial will be in Indian Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Holifield was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and working in his yard. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, G. D. and Mary Holifield; son, David Holifield; sisters, Dot Lightsey, Janice Martin, and Gwen Sanders; brother, Howard Holifield.
Survivors Include his wife, Doreen Holifield, Laurel, MS; son, Dean Holifield (Stephany), Laurel, MS; daughter, Samantha Tolbert (John), Ovett, MS; daughter-in-Law, Paula Holifield, Laurel, MS; grandchildren, Johnathan Holifield, Kimberly Holifield, Dawson Holifield, Sabrina Holified, Dustin Tolbert, Brittany Tolbert, Cory Holifield, Jamie Holifield Ward, Matthew Logan, Christopher Logan great grandchildren, Cayden Sykes, Abbie Sykes, Dakota Tolbert, Natalie Holifield, Macy Holifield, Nash Ward, Aubrey Logan, Meagan Logan and Devon Logan. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Serving as Pallbearers are Cory Holifield, Johnathan Holifield, Dustin Tolbert, John Tolbert, Ken Craft, David Holder.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Dean and Stephany Holified to help with the expenses of the funeral.
