PATE, Alvin E. 89, a longtime resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 29, 2009. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Cordova, Alabama. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at Leak-Memory chapel.
Mr. Pate was a Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of Panama Street Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Geraldine Pate; daughters, Patricia Dennis (James), Barbara Arant; son, Michael Pate (Lola); sisters, Dorothy Fleming and Meredith Jordan; grandchildren, Melanie Suzanne Dennis, Joshua Michael Pate (Callie), Jillian Michelle Pate, John Gregory Arant and great-grandchildren, Kirsten Elizabeth Pate, Kailey Olivia Pate and Chandler Elizabeth Bowen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Montgomery. Leak Memory Chapel directing.
