PATE, Geraldine B. 90, a longtime resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away at her home on Thursday March 24, 2011. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cordova, AL.
Mrs. Pate retired from Brockway Glass Company in 1982 to pursue her hobbies-gardening and spoiling her grand-children and was a member of Panama Street Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Pate, daughter, Patricia Dennis; son-in-law, James Cecil Dennis and her defacto son, Arthur Irish.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Arant and a son, Michael Pate (Lola); grandchildren' great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her caregiver, Cindy Durden and scores of friends and extended family who will miss her exuberant laugh and unconditional love.
If family and friends wish to make a memorial contribution in lieu of flowers, the family suggests the Panama Street Church of Christ or Hospice Advantage.
