Mary Phillipa "Jennie" Tangalakis

Jennie M. Pavlantos, 93, passed away on April 26, 2016 at Casa San Pablo.
Jennie was a longtime resident of Albuquerque, moving to Albuquerque after her husband George returned from World War II. Together with George, they owned and operated Goody's Coffee Shop. Jennie was a lifetime member of the Greek Orthodox Church and had attended St. George Greek Orthodox Church since 1944 when it was built.
She was a member of the Philoptochos Society for over 60 years. She also had volunteered for Meals on Wheels for over 20 years and was a member of the Church Women United for over 40 years.
Jennie was known for her baking of the "sweets" for the festival each fall. She was devoted to her family and her community.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George; daughter, Bessie; and brother, Dan Tangalakis.
Jennie is survived by her daughter, Georgiann (John) Kanellis; son, Tony (Nancy); grandchildren, Mandula, George K., Jennie, George P., Mary, Tony Jr. and Alexis; and seven great-grandchildren.
