Mr. Erwin Overton Harris, 83, of Brick Landing Plantation, died Monday, August 16, 2010 at his residence.
Born in Spartanburg, SC, on October 5, 1926, he was the son of the late James Thurlow and Margaret Erwin Harris. Mr. Harris was a retired Vice President from the Stone Manufacturing Company. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Spartanburg, SC, more recently, the Shallotte Presbyterian Church and was a Rotarian for over 40 years. He was an alumni of Clemson University.
Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Jean B. Harris on October 24, 2009.
Survivors include his daughter, Jeannie Harrell of Ocean Isle Beach, NC and his grandson, Harris Ligon from Havre, MT.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 8, 2010 in the Shallotte Presbyterian Church by The Reverend John Causey. Private inurnment will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens, Shallotte.
