Laura "Judy" Roberts departed this life for her heavenly home on Tuesday, September 25, 2018.
She was the daughter of Alton Brooks Hayes (1905-1980) and Mable Era Byrum Hayes (1910-1990). Her father was born in Coaling, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Ed" Roberts (1933-2017). Also by sister Era B. Hayes Thompson (1930-2011) and brothers ; David L. “Litebread” Hayes (1932-2016) and Wayne Ellis Hayes (1934-2001).
Judy was a member of Brookside Church of Christ and her love of God inspired many to follow in the service of the Lord.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her four children, Paul (Carol) Roberts, Bonnie (Bryan) Ward, Rusty (Leonette) Roberts, and Scott (Dawn) Roberts; sisters, June Comer, Nelda Hardin, Becky Riggs, Elaine Yerby, and Della Prewett. Our beloved "Neener" is also survived by ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Ray Brooks officiating. A period of visitation will occur Sunday from 12:00 pm until time of the service. The burial will take place at Crestview Memorial Gardens.
